- Alfred Hubbard (mayor) (ca. 1812–1887) English legislator and administrator in colonial Australia who, between 1875 and 1879, served as alderman and mayor of Brisbane Municipal Council
- Alfred Matthew Hubbard (1901–1982), American civil servant and inventor who became early proponent of psychedelic drug LSD; known as "Captain Al", he purportedly introduced scientists, politicians, intelligence officials, diplomats, and church figures to LSD
